A key milestone in the development of the 80MW Ben Tre Wind Power Plant project has been achieved through an agreement with Electricity Vietnam (EVN) on the tariff to apply to electricity sales from the project through an amendment to its Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). With this breakthrough, the Nexif Ratch Energy team is now focused on completing financing and starting construction in the second half of 2025.

The project, originally conceptualised and developed by Nexif Energy, has made steady progress since being transferred to Nexif Ratch Energy, whose team has worked collaboratively with all relevant authorities to agree on a revised tariff following the expiration of the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) regime in October 2021, positioning the project as one of the first transitional wind energy in projects in Vietnam to sign an amendment to its Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with a tariff agreed under Vietnam’s new renewable energy tariff regime.
