In November 2017, Nexif Energy obtained a government approval to develop, construct and operate an 80 MW wind power project located in Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre Province, Vietnam about 140 km south of Ho Chi Minh City.

The project is proposed to be developed in 3 phases for a total investment of US$ 160 million and when completed fully, is expected to generate 250 GWh of clean energy annually that can power more than 50,000 homes.

The project will be developed and constructed to meet international quality standards and to comply with the World Bank’s environmental and social standards.

The first phase of the project (30 MW) is expected to achieve Financial Close in Q3 2019 and is expected to commence operations by 2020.
