Gul Ahmed Wind Power Limited owns and operate a 50 MW wind located in Jhimpir, district Thatta in Sindh province, north east of Karachi and approximately 100 km from Karachi. Nexif Energy led the development of this project as manager of InfraCo Asia and Nexif Energy retains an ownership interest in the project.

The project which began commercial operations in October 2016 consists of 20 Nordex wind turbines each with a capacity of 2.5 MW. The project sells electricity to the National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited under a 20-year Energy Purchase Agreement.

The project obtained debt financing from leading multi-lateral institutions and financial institutions. It also obtained an equity investment from International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group.
