Calabanga Solar is a 75 MWp solar PV project located in Barangay Bonot-Santa Rosa, Calabanga municipality, Camarines Sur, South Luzon, Philippines owned by Nexif Energy. The project will comprise fixed-tilt electric generation PV solar panel system which will be installed on a 65 hectare site adjacent to San Miguel Bay.
All relevant planning and development approvals have been obtained for the project, including required approvals from the Department of Energy and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The connection agreement and transmission services agreement have been executed with the National Grid Corporation of Philippines. The project will be connected to an existing 69 kV NGCP transmission line on the project site through a tap-in connection.
The project is ready to construct with the turn-key engineering, procurement and construction contract for the project having been signed with PowerChina. Construction is planned to commence in mid-2021 with the start of electricity generation in Q2 2022.
